1. I

   Day I

   Amman

   Met at the aircraft and driven into the city. In the afternoon, the citadel above the old town and the Roman theatre below it.

   

2. II

   Day II

   Petra, early

   The drive south, then the Siq before the day visitors arrive, the Treasury in the morning light and lunch with a view of the valley.

   

3. III

   Days III–IV

   Wadi Rum, then home

   Into the desert by four-wheel drive, sunset from the dunes and a private camp for the night. In the morning, the road back to Amman or a flight from Aqaba.
